Standard Cover

Standard cover provides reimbursement for costs and services related to disputes concerning:

• charterparties, bills of lading or other contracts of affreightment
• contracts for hire of ships/ship leasing contracts
• contracts of passage
• supply of ships bunker, lube oil, provisions or equipment
• general average
• salvage
• towage and tug assistance contracts
• repair contracts and agreements with shipbuilding yards (not newbuild contracts – see additional cover)
• insurance contracts connected with the vessel
• contracts with ship’s agents, brokers, stevedores and other port operators
• customs, ports and other public authorities
• contracts relating to the operation, management or crewing of the vessel
• employments contacts with masters and other crew
• statutory claims in connection with any of the contracts above. In addition, our ‘standard cover’ provides intensive support for the defence of a claim or claim reduction. This guarantees our clients the highest financial security when a claim arises, particularly when a ship is threatened with arrest.

There is a claim limit of Euro 1m.
