Standard Cover
Standard cover provides reimbursement for costs and services related to disputes concerning:
- charterparties, bills of lading or other contracts of affreightment
- contracts for hire of ships/ship leasing contracts
- contracts of passage
- supply of ships bunker, lube oil, provisions or equipment
- general average
- salvage
- towage and tug assistance contracts
- repair contracts and agreements with shipbuilding yards (not newbuild contracts – see additional cover)
- insurance contracts connected with the vessel
- contracts with ship’s agents, brokers, stevedores and other port operators
- customs, ports and other public authorities
- contracts relating to the operation, management or crewing of the vessel
- employments contacts with masters and other crew
- statutory claims in connection with any of the contracts above. In addition, our ‘standard cover’ provides intensive support for the defence of a claim or claim reduction. This guarantees our clients the highest financial security when a claim arises, particularly when a ship is threatened with arrest.
There is a claim limit of Euro 1m.
